Some time ago, a trend of background music started to appear on internet websites (even on photography portfolios). Yet this "improvement", though now declining, is at the same time maybe the worst thing you can possibly put on your website. More so if you are a professional photographer looking for new customers.
Because most of the internet users either listen to their own music when surfing on the internet, or intentionally want silence (maybe because they should't be surfing in the first place). So music that would start to play on your website, could then either start to mix with music your visitor is already listening to, or it would disrupt his silence and concentration. One way or the other, both possibilities promise the same result: your visitor will probably immediately leave your website.
However if you really want music on your website, it can be done by a less pressing way. Your visitors can for example choose if they want to listen to your music by pressing a visible button on your website. If you would be interested in this option, contact our customer service and we can further discuss the details.
The simplest and easiest way is however to insert a video with music of your choosing that will be visible on your website and when playing, your visitors will already expect some sort of music or other sounds.
